Psalms: The Prayers of God’s People
This 11-week curriculum walks through the different genres of Psalms. Psalms is a book of Hebrew poetry, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and written by God’s people on the individual and corporate expressions of worship. It is the desperate adoration of God and the grateful plea for His provision. This sacred poetry introduces themes such as the ways of the righteous and the wicked, kingship, and the value of God’s Law. This weekly class builds skills at comprehending, interpreting, and applying the psalms by learning and employing literacy tools for reading Hebrew poetry.
