We believe that ministry is best done at eye level. Every child is unique and in different place developmentally. We meet our children where they are and challenge them to grow up in all maturity into the fullness of God’s love. Throughout Scripture this is God’s call, he meets us at eye level challenging us to maturity.
(Jeremiah 1:7-8, 1 Corinthians 13:11, 1 Timothy 4:12, 1 Peter 2:2)
We believe that the Gospel of Christ is the greatest truth in all creation. With this belief, we center our lives around the Word of God. As each generation is becoming increasingly illiterate with regards to the Bible, we unapologetically center our ministry on the Gospel. Scripture is the very breath of God and we breathe richly when we inhale that breath. We disciple our children to center their lives solely of the truth which God has breathed out in his Holy Word.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Psalm 119:11, Psalm 119:105, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe that prayer is a vital part of the Christian life. Because of this belief, our ministry seeks to model a prayer filled life to children of all ages. We also know with all humbleness that our ministry with our children is in vain without God’s intervention and so we continually bless, thank, and petition God. We commit ourselves to modeling the importance of prayer, giving children opportunities to pray, and encouraging children to maintain an intimate relationship with God through prayer.
(2 Chronicles 7:14, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6, Colossians 4:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. James 5:16)
God’s constant and consistent call in regard to the next generation is to tell them of his majesty and raise them up in faith. We believe that parents, grandparents, and guardians have the primary role in the discipling the next-generation. We also believe that local church has a good and vital role to play in the discipleship of the next-generation. We honor these roles and seek to partner with families to equip, encourage, and supplement their daily ministry.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Psalm 145:4, Proverbs 22:6, Isaiah 54:13, Joel 1:3, Mark 10:14, Luke 17:2)
The ministry we do is too important and our God is too great to provide anything less than excellent ministry. We believe that Scripture’s high calling is to those who minister is to provide excellent teaching, love, and care to all. It is because of this call to excellence that we approach ministry intentionally, God deserves more than half baked teaching, love and care. We move beyond simply having youth and children’s ministry to having excellent youth and children’s ministry.
(Proverbs 22:29, 1 Corinthians 10:31, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Colossians 3:23)
