Divided – Government, Morality & the Gospel
President Ronald Reagan stated, “if we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” Many see the condition of our nation and feel that morality is in decline which causes fear on what that means for our future. Our response can then become to fight for and expect people to live a moral life based on Scripture while not actually knowing the God of Scripture. We want our politicians and government to legislate morality, but it is important for us to understand that living a moral life does not equate that a person is truly born again. Our mission is not to promote morality but to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.
