Guest Speaker – The Royalty of Christ
Did you know that before George Washington became the first “President” of our country, he was offered the position of King under a monarchy form of government? He refused based on the previous heavy-handed British rule we had been at war with. As Americans, we have little knowledge of what living under the rule of King would be like. We often say Jesus is our Savior, and even that He is Lord of our lives, but, in our culture, do we grasp what it means for Him to be our King and that we are “subjects” of His kingdom? We will explore various scriptures and try to look at them from a Kingdom perspective.
